Plastinated pig hearts are comparable to human hearts in size and proportion. These hearts are dilated to more closely approximate the dimensions of an intact, functioning heart. Dilation of the chambers provide exceptional detail of valve features and wall structures to be seen. This transverse/axial slice most clearly show the atrioventricular and semilunar valves, in addition to coronary outlets.
