Large Heart 4-Chamber View
The large plastinated cow heart is bisected along the frontal plane. This heart is ideal for showing interior anatomy of the heart on a large scale to students in a group where all can clearly see what is being identified. The cusps of the aortic semilunar valve can be touched. The atrioventricular valves, chordae tendineae, and papillary muscles are clearly visible. The right atrium has been removed for a superior view of the tricuspid valve. The pulmonary trunk and bifurcation of right and left pulmonary arteries are shown along with a severed ductus arteriosus.
